YouTube has a number of episodes from this great show, and the picture quality suggests that they're from the restored DVDs sold by Shout Factory.

From IMDB: A Nobel Prize-winning doctor working in rural Arizona is visited by the county health officer after the unusual death of one of his assistants. The secretive scientist is developing a synthetic nutrient that, they learned too late, has an unfortunate side effect: creatures using it become highly susceptible to deadly viruses.

This episode has a great concept, a wonderful story, and a stellar cast which includes the lovely Miss Vera Miles, the handsome Mr. John Howard, and the distinguished Mr. Otto Kruger — who starred in The Colossal of New York.

The plot is pure science fiction — a wealth of ideas which play out like a well-written short story from the Gold Age of Sci-Fi magazines so popular in the 40s and 50s.

I have no doubt that the average viewer in the 1950s was scratching his head when he saw this episode. But the true science fiction fans were, I'm sure, enthralled by it!

I won't try to describe the story, because it's much too complex to summarize. If you'd like to find out if my bold claims are true, watch it at the YouTube link I provided above . . . and then share your thoughts with us. Very Happy

That, my fellow science fiction enthusiast, is exactly why All Sci-Fi was originally created!
