YouTube has a number of episodes from this great show, and the picture quality suggests that they're from the restored DVDs sold by Shout Factory.

From IMDB: A man is determined to help his fiancée's blind son, even though doctors say the case is hopeless. He and a doctor friend decide to see if the boy can react to items and colors based on cell photosensitivity, which could if successful become a substitute for sight.

Truman Bradley discusses the effects of sunlight on living things, such as the way flowers repond to sunlight by opening up at dawn.

This episode features young Richard Eyer (star of The Colossus of New York) as a blind boy whose optic nerve was destroyed in tragic accident that also left his mother partially crippled.

Dick Foran plays a scientist who becomes romantically involved with the lady and desperately wants to help the poor little boy. He takes him to famous doctor (played by Donald Curtis) for a thorough exam.

Curtis regretfully informs the couple that the boy's optic nerve has been completely destroyed.

But a while later, when Dick Foran is talking to friend about the way fishermen lure worms to the surface by using a bright light at night, he comes up with a new idea.

The doctor played Donald Curtis conducts tests to determine if a new procedure might provide the boy with a way to sense light without using his eyes! Shocked

The test which Curtis conducts proves that the boy can somehow sense different colors of light, even though his optic nerve has been destroy.

If all this sounds confusing, watch the episode and you'll be amazed by the complexity and imagination of this story. And this is another example of the remarkable way this series jam-packs an amazing amount of content into a mere 26 minutes.
