The 21st Century was produced by CBS and hosted by legendary journalist Walter Cronkite.

It ran for 15 episodes from March 27, 1967 until April 20, 1967 in a half-hour format.

This show was a fascinating look into the then "next-century", in the year 1967. The show examined various possible facets of life for humans as predicted by scientists, architects, engineers, and others.

Some of these predictions are quite close to what has happened. Other predictions like the coming of the 30-hour work week & month-long vacations are whimsy.

Youtube has five or six episodes if anyone wants to check out what they were guessing our today in the 21st century would be like fifty-six years ago. I really enjoyed this news series and seeing what many of the best and brightest were pondering just what life would look like in our 21st century.

Walter talks about the development of electric cars. and the one the video shows us is very impressive. But it's taken over sixty years to finally perfect the technology.

Or perhaps just to accept the need for them. Rolling Eyes
