I've received a very brief but disturbing message from our good friend, Gord Green. Here's the complete text, copied exactly the way it appears in from my inbox.

Gentlemen, it appears that Gordon Green is suffering from the same tragic condition which All Sci-Fi's co-site administrator, Randy Everett, suffered several years ago before he eventually passed away.
I'm deeply moved by the way the Gordon felt such a strong need to convey that message to me, despite how difficult it was for him.
However, my father suffered a stroke back in the 1980s, and he was able of recover. So I'm hopeful that Gordon will manage to have the same success!
And since he frequently visits All Sci-Fi, I hope our members will add encouraging words to this thread so we can cheer him on during his recovery! _________________ ____________

This is such unwelcome news. I hope it's significantly recoverable. We need you here with us, Gord. _________________ ...or not...

GREAT NEWS!
I received an incredible All Sci-Fi private message from Gord Green! The text below is the update he sent me concerning his recent health issue.
______________________________________________
I had a subdural hematoma (bleeding in the brain). The area affected was on the left side of the brain which controls language. I couldn't talk or write, but I could read.
I spent the last 10 days in the hospital — 5 days in intensive care. I'm recovering quickly and anxious to post on All Scifi!
Gord

I was overjoyed when I read the above PM from Gordon! And I know all the members of All Sci-Fi share my happiness.
Here's a special "get well soon" card for our good friend Gord Green!

That's a relief! It was sounding pretty scary there. _________________ ...or not...

Agreed! I was extremely worried that Gordon would suffer the same sad fate as our former co-site administrator, Randy Everett!
Randy had a series of strokes that eventually brought about the demise of my generous and very kind friend.
So, imagine my shock and delight when I received that unexpected PM from him, with the good new that he was recovering!
Gord Green has been a loyal member of All Sci-Fi for more than eight years, and he's made almost 3,000 contributions — almost 3,000 posts, the third highest posts-count on the board!
We need Gord Green and his valuable comments to All Sci-Fi, and I'm sure we're all grateful that he's recovering. _________________ ____________

Glad you're doing better, Gord!
Here's hoping that you'll be back up and break-dancing with the rest of us soon!
