Super President was an NBC animated Saturday morning super hero television series that ran from September 16, 1967 until December 28, 1968. It had 30 episodes and was produced by the DePatie-Freleng Company.

Astronaut James Norcross is elected as President of the United States. Unknown to anyone else except his advisor Jerry Sales, Norcross gained astonishing super powers from cosmic rays while on a space mission. These abilities include super strength, along with the ability to alter his molecular form to any substance required. These forms include granite, steel, ozone, water, electricity.

The map on the wall of the Oval Office has a sliding panel to it that leads Norcross to his underground cavern base via an elevator. Stored there is his Omnicar which is a combination of automobile/aircraft/submarine. He also has jets built into his belt on his costume.

SP was assailed at the time for both its low quality animation, as well as its bad taste. Featuring a POTUs as an invincible superhero less than 4-years after the JFK assassination was not well received at that time. Groups such as the National Association of Broadcasters, and Action for Children's TV were highly critical of the show.
