I thought Klaatu's warning was to cease and desist in hostile actions against each other on the Earth, or they would make sure we would be obliterated when we got around to space travel.

Gwangi was a little gem. The Eohippus (sp?) was a lovely touch and, of course, the roping of Gwangi was a marvel, done before in Mighty Joe Young, but more beautifully achieved.

Agreed. THE sci-fi movie of all time, for me. One of a kind.

As far as Space 1999 goes, I felt they went beyond homage to pure rip off.
