Gee, Rocky, I don't know. I think J'onn J'onzz could do way better than this gal!

Well, her IQ seemed in keeping with the the comic book Bizarro folks. They had to give her a skin condition, though I always rather liked the white rocky look.

That was the very motivation for a sarcastic letter to the editor I wrote to The Flash back in the day. I composed it when they introduced Kid Flash, and it was along the same lines as your comment, Custer.

The invention of Superbeings got way out of control. (And when you're riding a superhorse, do you sit on top of the cape or under it? Does the cape disguise Comet's secret identity? How do these animals get their capes on and off? ...I've blocked so much from my memory.)

Let's go about this logically.

Krypto is "thinking" a message to the rest of the super-critters, so we can assume they all have telepathic abilities.

Therefore, when the members of The Legion of Super-Pets is ready to suit up spring into action, they telepathically ask the monkey (who has hands) to help with the capes, and he would then dash around at super-speed to put on those signature garments.

As for the position of the rider on Comet, relative to the cape, I think the answer would be, "The rider wads up the cape and clutches it to his chest, hanging on for dear life, because riding a flying horse bareback would be no easy task!

Well, the Supergirl series seems to have like a dozen or so superhumans from Krypton around, so I guess they might as well bring in some pets and livestock, too. Maybe she could start a super farm.

It's beginning to sound like there was a super ark involved somewhere.

We've had the Barry of Earth-2, who, surprisingly and unlike most of his friends, wasn't a supervillain over there (didn't Jay know what Killer Frost and Reverb looked like, to do a bit of a double-take when he met their Earth-1 doppelg??ngers?) - so maybe there is a Barry on Supergirl and Superman's Earth. Who says lightning only strikes once in the same place...?

The DC movie continuity is supposed to be different from the tv shows, so a different Flash and Supergirl could both appear there, eventually. Smile

________________________________

The most recent episode of Supergirl presented a surprising development.

Exposure to red kryptonite caused her to become like Clark did in Smallville for several episodes: ruthless, selfish, and dangerous.

Supergirl ended up battling J'onn J'onzz, and they caused considerable damage in Central City. That plus the fact that she threw Cat Grant off the balcony of the CatCo Worldwide Media building and only caught her a few feet from the sidewalk has completely destroyed Supergirl's reputation with the public, and in the scenes we see from the upcoming episode, her appearances cause considerable concern for the folks who are now afraid of her.

The series may-or-may-not get back the lighthearted flavor it's had up to now, but even if it does, it will take a while if the producers treat this new development with a proper degree of realism.

Ah, I've not watched Smallville... but I knew when we first saw that glowing red crystal on the roof that it had to be red kryptonite! In the comics that could have any random effect on ol' Supes, but it's nice if they tied it in with the previous tv show.

Some relationships have got a bit darker after Supergirl's outspokenness, and the Martian Manhunter has some explaining to do for sure. He should have transformed into the normal-costume Supergirl to fight the ruthless version, maybe?

Hey, that's a clever idea!

But trying to trick the public into thinking the real Supergirl was still nice, and the bad one was her "evil twin", probably wouldn't have sat too well with the scrupulously honest Kara after he turned all sweetness and light again.

Now Hank/J'onn wouldn't have had any trouble with it. He tried to take the heat for Kara's sister by claiming he was the one who had killed Kara's aunt.

Man, this show is really getting good, I think.
Very Happy
