If I had an egg cup like that, I think I would be tempted to paint the egg. Or substitute a clear plastic dome with Robby innards.

This points out that even with contemporary products the "Robby Factor" is still very much in effect.
The image of Robby is an ingrained visual when the concept of "Robots" is imagined. |

Nope, you overdid it. The original photo focused on the nearest side of the egg, which corresponds to most of Robby head. Only the parts closer than the nearest side of the egg would be blurry.
You blurred parts of Robby's head well inside that perimeter.

"Focus" in this context, my son, is a metaphor for "detail". Robby's actual head (intricate) looks way out of place on the egg holder (abstract).
