One of the funniest comedies I've seen is this Doris Day / Rock Hudson bedroom farce in which the suave Rock and the stunning Miss Day play ambitious advertising executives for competing agencies in the Big Apple.
They've never met face to face, but they hate each other because Doris is dedicated to fair business practices and Rock is dedicated to grabbing every account (and every female) he can get his hands on!
Rock's performance as the ultimate woman-chasing, account-stealing ad man is hysterical!
Doris is dropped-dead gorgeous in every scene, and when Rock finally meets her, she thinks he's the Pulitzer Prize winning scientist whose mysterious new product is going to make billions on the open market. Therefore, she focuses her considerable charm on him to land the advertising account that will promote it.
Rock goes along with her misconception and puts the audience in stitches while pretending to be shy, intellectual, virginal, old-fashioned, and noble to a fault!
His act makes Doris think he's the man of her dreams, and Rock ends up with the luscious blond practically begging to be wedded and bedded as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, the miracle product which the real scientist is working on — which Rock just made up and named Vip before there even WAS a product to promote — turns out to be something that really WILL make billions on dollars on the market!
Miss Day isn't the only smokin' hot babe in this movie. Edie Adams plays a gorgeous-but-gullible model named (I kid you not) Rebel Davis, and she has numerous scenes which must have given the male Hollywood sensors some serious night-sweats before they allowed her scenes to stay in the movie.
For example, Rock talks Edie into helping him convince a panel of ad executives that his business practices aren't dishonest, so she testifies on his behalf, and she allow them take a very close look at the Good Conduct Service Medal Rock gave her to wear as a necklace!
]
Trust me, this picture does NOT do the scene justice as the luscious Edie leans down lower and lower to give each man on the council a close look at the medal. By the time she's gets to the last man, her shapely caboose is almost level with her shoulders and she's practically too close for the mesmerized man to focus on the medal!
Rock's crafty plan to seduce Doris eventually lands him right in her apartment as a guest in her spare bedroom, and he puts on such a hysterical act to convince her he's so insecure around women that Doris ends up practically begging him to ride her like a rodeo bull!
Gentlemen, this is the ultimate sixties sex comedy, a movie that will make you laugh and make you horny, both at the same time!
The Blu-ray for this masterpiece is available from Amazon for just $9.99 — not much more than the price of an unhealthy meal from McDonald's!
My advice, guys, is to skip the fast food meal, make yourself a salad, and buy a movie which will provide you with laughter . . . the best medicine!

This picture is basically a remake of Pillow Talk. Same plot, just different details.
A lot of folks don't realize that Doris Day and Rock Hudson made only three movies together: Pillow Talk (1959), Lover Come Back (1961), and Send Me No Flowers (1964). The "Doris Day-Rock Hudson comedy" became a subgenre of romantic comedy, with both actors doing similar films with other co-stars. Among the more notable of these were two that Doris did with James Garner: The Thrill of It All and Move Over, Darling, the latter being a reworking of Marilyn Monroe's unfinished film Something's Got to Give (which itself was a remake of My Favorite Wife with Cary Grant and Irene Dunne). |

Although your statement is essentially true, scotpens, both the sex and the comedy were dialed up considerably in this follow-up to Pillow Talk. The racy scenes are much more salacious, and the climax is actually considered controversial, with Doris proving that she does NOT end this story as a virgin!
In Pillow Talk, Rock mostly just smooth talks the gals he alleged romances by singing to them over the phone. But in this movie his sexual escapades are implied more specifically!
And the climax includes him and Doris waking up in motel bedroom the morning after they've gotten married while under the influence of an intoxicant. And then nine month later we learn that she's . . .
Well, so much for Doris the Virgin! _________________ ____________

I have to admit to having a hell of a crush on Doris Day as a youngster. And Edie Adams was a close second!
I especialy loved Doris in Calamity Jane! (The cleaned up version of course!)

The real Martha "Calamity" Jane Cannery had a surprising facet to her personality that is often overlooked; she was a compassionate woman who helped the needy as she found them. Here she is just before her death at age 51:
