HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUTCH !
Good to know we still have a few youngsters on the board! _________________ There comes a time, thief, when gold loses its lustre, and the gems cease to sparkle, and the throne room becomes a prison; and all that is left is a father's love for his child. |

Thanks, Miss Eadie!
I added that vital bit of information to today's Featured Threads list of important events for this day in history. Here's how it reads now.

Mondays don’t get a lot of love, but today’s date — May 13th — has been fairly eventful. For example:
1607 - Jamestown settlers arrive.
1973 - First Battle of the Sexes: On May 13, 1973, during the early years of the women’s liberation movement, tennis stars Bobby Riggs and Margaret Court battle in a widely televised tennis match. She lost the match, 6-2, 6-1.
1960 - US atomic submarine USS Triton completes 1st submerged circumnavigation of the globe.
1992 - 3 astronauts simultaneous walked in space for the 1st time.
2019 - Robert "Butch" Day turns 70 years old, which makes him the same age I was when I saw The Space Children in 1958! (In "dog years", that is . . . ) _________________ ____________
