As soon as the guys below sign that document on the desk and give it to USPS — the United States Postal Service — we’ll no longer be colonists. We’ll be Americans!

We should probably celebrate with fireworks or something.





My plans for today are to do exactly what I did last year — watch 1776, the 1973 musical. Unfortunately, this year I won't be able to watch it with the late Bulldogtreker while we chat on Facebook.

I hope the rest of my fellow Americans will enjoy themselves today as much as we two gentlemen did from the great states of North and South Carolina!
