I must admit that if a young superhero is going to run around in cute shoes, a tight outfit, and bare legs . . . I'd rather that person be an attractive young lady. 
Frankly I've always disliked Robin's original sissy-looking outfit! What the hell were the original designers thinking? 
It's bad enough that Superman wore his red underwear on the outside, and Batman dragged around a useless cape which was destined to someday get caught on something and yank him backward in the middle of a battle with evil villains!
But Robin's outfit was never something any of use dreamed of wearing! 
Come one, guys, admit it! We pinned towels around around our necks to emulate Superman, and we fashioned masks to copy Batman. But as red blooded American boys, none of us ever dream of looking like this!
