I came across a fascinating video on Youtube, gents, that my fellow visual effects devotees will appreciate.
It is titled "The Virtual Production of The Mandolorian, Season One" and runs for 4:43.
The video features what is the next revolutionary leap in visual FX : The LED Wall and it is incredible.
If CGI was one of the biggest breakthroughs in FX technology history. then the LED Wall has to be one of the next one on that list.
The days of blue screen and green screen FX tech may be seeing their sunset. |

Holy Cow and All Her Blessed Little Calves! This is amazing!
I watched all The Mandalorian episodes with my beloved daughter — All Sci-Fi member Ticket2theMoon — during her most recent visit here in North Carolina.
I never suspected that all those scenes which appeared to be filmed on location where actually done with this amazing process!
I've said it before and I'll say it again — I love living in the future!

That is also how they do the effects on the bridge in "The Orville" when they look out of the windows. It does give the actors something substantial to react to.
