Mike Jitflov is a brilliant filmmaker who delights in finding innovative methods to create special effects which look spectacular . . . despite being remarkable inexpensive! Very Happy

Frankly, there seems to be no bounds to this man's imagination — and this independently produce movie is an eye-popping showcase for Mike's brilliant talent.

One of the remarkable aspects of this film is the event which inspired it — a terrible experience Mike had when he was hired by the Disney Studios to produce a short film about special effects which would be part of a TV promo for the upcoming release of The Black Hole.

Mike poured his heart and soul into the project . . . but he was not treated fairly by Disney — and this was one of many times Mike encountered the frustrating world of Hollywood beaurocracy and dishonesty.

So, what did Mike do?

He created a humorous version of a horrible situation and proved himself the better man than all the no-talent morons in Tinsel Town who stand in the way of real artistic genius. Very Happy

The result is this wildly imaginative, insanely entertaining, absolutely delightful movie which presents a fantasy version of Mike's real-life unpleasant ordeal.

And Mike's brilliant film is packed with more special effects than any ten movies you've ever seen — including the Harryhausen epics and the whole Star Wars franchise!

I'm not exaggerating. The number of FX shots in this movie are literally uncountable! Shocked

It also presents a non-stop barrage of brilliant humor, most of which are clever jabs at the Hollywood system which has repressed genuine artistic endeavors for decades! Rolling Eyes

This movie's brilliant blend of witty humor and sharp criticism of a despicable system which robs artists of their work is what makes The Wizard of Speed and Time much more than just a humorous movie with dazzling special effects!

It is, in fact, the strongest argument for condemning the Hollywood system for the selfish way its greedy men conceal their own incompetence and rob true artistic geniuses of the credit they deserve!

I hope you guys will watch this wonderful movie and enjoy its delightful humor and its inspiring special effects! But please don't overlook the compelling message it contains — a plea for help from the true artist who are forced to endure the ignorance and greed of men who use these artists, just to enrich themselves. Sad

Mike Jittlov - The Wizard of Speed and Time (1988) Highest quality on the internet!

I first saw this fantastic film twenty years ago and was blown away by it! Great personal story told with real heart! The music is awesome too and will stay in your brain forever!

A great scene is when Mike is selling off his comic book collection in a yard sale....How would you like to pick some of those for pocket change?

Fun movie!!! HIGHLY recommended!!!

The movie had a long post production time as Mike Jittlov did all the effects himself. Philip Michael Thomas said that this movie got him his job on "Miami Vice". They asked him if he had ever played a Cop, and he replied yes, he played a Cop in movie in 1982. Like I said, the movie had a LONG post production time. Laughing
