If it wasn't illegal as hell I'd admit to having a "Mare's Leg" and it's a darn cool gun! Steve Mc Queen was one cool dude! The homage in FIREFLY was touching.

But ...Guns are bad...right?

At least three firearms companies make legal Mare's Leg pistols. The receiver was never a rifle, and are in pistol, not rifle calibers.

I have read that the Mare's Leg used in "Firefly", was the one used in "The Magnificent Seven" TV series. The "Wanted Dead or Alive" Mare's Leg was sold when Stembridge closed down in the late 90s.
