Good lord, what is it about the month of April that causes All Sci-Fi to experience a wave of Guests!

Today (April 20th, 2024) I noticed this at the bottom of the main index.

Well, folks, after spending several hours installing new forum called The Outer Limits (TV Series 1963–1965) and then enhancing it with several new threads, I scrolled down and checked the info at the bottom of the main index to see if my efforts had attracted the attention of the many "guests" who frequently visit the board.

I was delight to see that the number of quests had doubled from the 60-or-so we've had during the last few days. Here's what I found.

In total there are 120 users online :: 1 Registered, 0 Hidden and 119 Guests.

My point, gentlemen, is that whenever any of us adds something to the board, there are people out there who see and enjoy our contributions . . . even if they aren't members who could log in and add a reply!

So, whenever you visit All Sci-Fi, please take a moment to reply to the posts you've read and enjoyed.

We have an ample number of "fans" who enjoy what were doing. But we need more registered members who take a moment to add replies — even when they're just a short comment like "Great post! Thanks."

Yesterday I created the new forum for The Outer Limits (1963 to 1965), and this morning at 10;45 AM I noticed this at the bottom of the main index.

Our users have posted a total of 39.294 articles. We have 172 registered users.

In total there are 209 users online :: 1 Registered, 0 Hidden and 208 Guests

Obviously the reason we see this most recent wave of guests is the addition of the new forum and all the posts I added to encourage replies from the members!

Just FYI, The Classic Horror Film Board has 11,816 Members. At the same time today when we had 208 guests, CHFB only had . . 35!

Come on, guys! Our fans are counting on us!

Holy cow! The number of guest we're geting keeps going up every day! Apparently its because several members — like mach7, Maurice, Pow, and others — have been contributing freqently to the board!

Keep up the good work, guys!

Take a look at today's numbers. If this keeps up we'll top 300 by early next week!

Today at noon, on May 27th, I was flabbergasted by the number of guests we had!

And please note that we also set a new All-Time High early this morning at 6:11 AM!

I don't know why, guys, but after I was gone a for few days while getting an operation on my nasal cavities and my sinuses, our guest count dropped back to double digits!

Fortunately, you guys kept things active while I was gone, so I don't know why the guest count suddenly slumped.

I think some of the many guests we've had over the last few weeks might have been attracted to All Sci-Fi by the posts I made on the CHFB which ended with this —



— and which included an embedded link to All Sci-Fi which lead to a thread that related the CHFB post I made.

With that in mind, today I made several new posts on the CHFB which included the jpeg shown above and a link to ASF.

Hopefully this will help bring back our guests and renew our faith in the idea that All Sci-Fi has a large number of folks who enjoy our discussions — even though they don't post replies.

Meanwhile . . . please help me out here, guys! Pump up All Sci-Fi's activity with your own contributions, be they big or small. 8:

After all, you don't have to be "the life of the party" — you just have add to the festivities by showing up at the door, smiling at the hostess, and flirting with the girls!

Yesterday I was appalled when I saw that the Guest Count had dropped dramatically. It was barely over 100!

So I made several elaborate posts on the Classic Horror Film Board which included the special ASF logo at the bottom, with an embedded link.

This morning we had 517 guest 9:00 AM!

All Sci-Fi has done it again! Today we set a new high in the guest count which beats the former record by 156!

The previous record was 751 on Wed May 15th. But check out today's new high.

And all this attention is being caused by the meager-but-devoted group of members who actually sign in and add POSTS! I bet if we all make an effort to contribute comments to the board, we might actually break 1,000!

Stop the presses! AGAIN!

All Sci-Fi has broken the 1,000+ GUESTS BARRIER!

Yesterday we set yet another new high in the guest count, which beat the former record of 907!

Check out today's new high — 1,340.



The Classic Horror Film Board has 11,972 members — but their guest count at the moment I posted this was only 150 Visitors, with 8 members on line.

So, even though All Sci-Fi currently only has about ten active members, we continue to be a very popular site for people who love to read our posts.

Dear lord, could somebody please tell me why a modest little message board like All Sci-Fi which only has 179 registered users (only a dozen of which ever post anything) manage to attract an increasing number "quest: from week to week who obviously love what we're doing here?

Good lord, the "guest count" just keeps going up! Look at the new "high" we established just yesterday

Over the years I invited dozens of members from other boards who seemed like "our kind of people" to join All Sci-Fi. But even though many of them have joined, they rarely post anything!

Well, at least we know that All Sci-Fi is one of the most popular boards on the internet!

No other board I know ever has this many visitors who seem to like what we're doing here.

For example, The Classic Horror Film Board has 11,991 members — and yet they rarely have more than ten members on line . . . or more than 100 guest!
