* SPOILERS * In episode # 5 of The Ark, we see that the front nose of the starship can separate from the main body of the vessel. The idea being the nose will remain in space orbiting the planet acting as a space station.

The rest of the hull of the ark will be brought down in sections for cargo and supplies. It will be used to construct needed habitats on the new world.

Terrific concept. The scenes showing the nose of the ship separate from the body; and then a new nose reattach to the hull were fantastic looking.

Mike, I saw a promo for The Ark today on SyFy, and i was dazzled! Shocked

I'm going find a download source for this series and binge-watch the hell out of it!

I suspect that Prime video has it, but it would cost me $6.99 per episode, so I think I'll find another way.

It just struck me that the design for the ark's pc pads is similar to the medical pcs from Terra Nova (2011).

Captain Garrett has a scene in one episode where she essentially has a breakdown. The actress, Christie Burke, does a fantastic job in this compelling and intense moment.
