This is one of the most highly regarded of all the Godzilla movies! It received critical acclaim for the performances of the cast, along with its special effects, story, and Ifukube's musical score.

It was the last Godzilla film to be produced by any studio until the 1998 American film Godzilla, and it was the last Godzilla film produced by Toho until the 1999 film, Godzilla 2000.

As unimpressed as I normally am with the FX of the Kaiju movies, I was delighted by this one. The scene in which a team of Japanese Special Forces soldiers in a downtown building's underground garage battle a truly hideous crab creature is awesome.

Watch for the amazing scene in which a young women is trapped in a car when the creature escapes from the garage, and it rips the car apart as it tries to get to her!

Excellent, excellent movie that is well deserving of the praise it has received.

If you are a Godzilla fan, this is a must see!!
