Belgian Clement Vidal has put forth in a paper the idea of alien civilizations being able to control hypervelocity stars (stars that move at extraordinarily high speeds).

In theory, such civilizations could move an entire solar system as they journey through the galaxy. Material would be ejected from the surface of a star in a particular direction --- thus producing thrust. Even a binary star system might be utilized for space travel.

Wild, man, wild!!!
