* SPOILERS * In episode # 5 of The Ark, we see that the front nose of the starship can separate from the main body of the vessel. The idea being the nose will remain in space orbiting the planet acting as a space station.
The rest of the hull of the ark will be brought down in sections for cargo and supplies. It will be used to construct needed habitats on the new world.
Terrific concept. The scenes showing the nose of the ship separate from the body; and then a new nose reattach to the hull were fantastic looking.

Mike, I saw a promo for The Ark today on SyFy, and i was dazzled!
I'm going find a download source for this series and binge-watch the hell out of it!
I suspect that Prime video has it, but it would cost me $6.99 per episode, so I think I'll find another way. _________________ ____________

It just struck me that the design for the ark's pc pads is similar to the medical pcs from Terra Nova (2011). |

Captain Garrett has a scene in one episode where she essentially has a breakdown. The actress, Christie Burke, does a fantastic job in this compelling and intense moment. |

While I was thrilled to see that the SyFy Channel renewed The Ark for a third season, I was very disappointed that it will not return for its third season until 2026!
An entire year between seasons is not only an unusually lengthy time for a show, it has the potential to lose viewers. Audiences are fickle in this day and age and tend to move on quickly between TV shows. Some may not even know TA is renewed.
I hope this isn't some deceitful tactic by SyFy to undermine the series and hope to cancel it if enough fans do not return to it in 2026. We all know that the networks employ cute tricks when they want to cancel a series such as moving it around to different time slots frequently, or placing it on hiatus (and promising it will return) while they try out a brand new show in its place.
