I was a heavy convention goer from the mid 70s, to the mid 90s. In my convention days people who dressed up in costumes, were said to be costuming.
My question is, just when did costuming become cosplay? To me it doesn't make any sense, no matter how you spin it, it is still just costuming.

Costuming is a process of re-creating an existing costume or a new costume primarily for exhibition or contest purposes.
In CosPlay the costumes are used for role-playing and/or just for fun. _________________ Common Sense ISN'T Common |
