This site has a "proof-of-concept" teaser trailer!

"... a cube 20 miles on each side ..." perhaps?

I'm hooked! Despite the brevity of the description, the premise sounds pretty darn interesting. I hope it turns out to be stupendous!

Eadie, I love your Forbidden Planet connection! Very Happy

Bud's Prediction: Somebody will say this is "borrowing" ideas from 2001 — the mysterious artifact found buried on Mars, and the A.I. involved in the investigation. Valid points . . . but we'll just have to see what they do with the idea, eh?

Origin Unknown is a sci-fi thriller set in the not too distant future of space exploration, where we follow a mission controller - Mack, investigating a mysterious object that has appeared on Mars. As he gets close to unraveling the mystery with the support of an artificial intelligence called RAINN, he soon realises there is something much bigger at play here.

Looks good; thanks for posting. And I would watch Katee Sackhoff in almost anything.

Yeah, she's kinda cute, I guess. Wink
