The robot posing with George Reeves as Superman is Mr. McTavish who was created by Professor Pepperwinkle in the episode "The Gentle Giant" from March 24, 1958.
Unfortunately, the robot runs on kryptonite.
Wonder if this was the inspiration for the villain Metallo?
The robot was also featured in "The Bowery Boys Meet the Monsters." |
