About the music, did you try the experiment I suggested? Play the Bond them over the Bash Brannigan clip and see how it's transformed! If somebody did a remix, with the joky parts of the scene cut out (just for fun), and replaced the audio with the Bond theme, you'd think Jack Lemmom could play 007!
Your right about the relationship between Jack and his wife at the end, but I suggest you reconsider this statement --

Notice how the judge, the prosecuting attorney, and the all-male jury smile wistfully at the tantalizing thought of permanently ridding themselves of their respective ball-and-chains!
It's the stated premise of this movie: husbands are miserable, hen-pecked victims of their pushy, goldbricking, emasculating spouses!
