MONSTERS of the MOVIES

From Curtis Publishing ( Magazine Management Co. ) 1974 - 1975

Editor: Roy Thomas

This line of magazines was from Marvel Comics under their Curtis Magazine Imprint. Marvel Expanded its magazine publishing line besides its comic book line in the early 1970s, but this venture didn't last beyond the decade.

This particular title lasted for 8 issues, plus and annual.

I decided to place these here rather than a separate thread because these 3 magazine issues from Marvel Comics were a precursor to MONSTERS OF THE MOVIES above.

I don't have these, but the first couple of issues were apparently just a bunch of full-page photos with captions.

The 3rd issue was an attempt to fill out the mag with some reviews & columns, but that was the end of it anyway. |

Monsters of the Movies had some terrific covers. This one, I think, is especially good.
