"Micro Ventures" was a 1968 animated show from Hanna-Barbera Production that first aired on NBC on Saturday mornings as part of "The Banana Splits Adventure Hour.''
There were only four episodes produced and they ran four-and-a-half minutes.
Synopsis: Professor Carter and his two teenage kids, Mike & Jill, use their Micro-Reducer miniaturizing machine in order to shrink themselves and their dune buggy in order to explore the world around them. The episodes also offered some educational moments regarding the micro~world they experienced.
The Tiny Sea, November 9, 1968.
The Dangerous Desert, November 23, 1968.
The Backyard Jungle, December 7, 1968.
Exploring an Ant Colony, December 21, 1968.
If you get a kick out of sci~fi premise involving human being being miniaturized as I do, then you'll enjoy these brief cartoons.
Boy, a case could be made for serious child endangerment on each episode. Professor Carter constantly exposes his children, as well as himself, to life threatening dangers each time they reduce their size and enter the micro-world.
They could get away with stuff like that back in the 1960's on animated shows like this one.
Nowadays, there would be an outrage from parents, teachers, the PTA, and child welfare that'd shut down such a show.
Sigh, the good old days.

You're right, Mike! !
We've all seen the way certain groups go overboard by criticizing any fiction with characters if it deviates from an overly realistic approach to the stories. They seem to want to revoke everybody's artistic license!
As a retired school teacher I can make a strong case in favor of presenting courageous young characters in fiction — exactly like the ones presented in Micro Ventures
Here's my justification.
Kids should be encouraged to imagine themselves in heroic roles, doing dangerous things for noble reasons — just like adult heroes do! Presenting these young readers with heroes they can personally identify with will elevate their self esteem and encourage them to have confidence in their own abilities!
What it does NOT do is encourage them to indulge in dangerously heroic behavior, or condone poor adult supervision!
As exhibit A in my case for the positive influence for having brave young fictional heroes who face danger, I submit just two words.
Harry Potter.
The defense rests.
Mike, here's all four of the episodes you mentioned.
Enjoy!_
