In the year 3034, the human race has suppressed all forms of emotion and has attacked and annihilated almost all of the other alien races in our galaxy except for a decades long war with the Reptids. So when the Reptids threaten to release a weapon to reawaken human emotions, it's up to the crew of the Dreadnaught Nemesis to follow them back in time to stop them from changing the past and altering our future forever.
Now plagued by uncontrollable emotions, the crew of the Nemesis find not-so practical ways of coping, while the Nemesis Captain (Claudia Christian) realizes that if her crew is Earth's only hope, we're all screwed!

Randy sent me a DVD copy of this show about two years ago! Funny stuff, in a subtle way. I enjoyed it (and appreciated the spontaneous gift).
He's done that kind of thing about twenty times over the years. He'll send a BD copy of something I mentioned I haven't seen, or he'll just decide I might like something I've never even heard of!
I'll open up my mail box, see the package with Randy's name as the return address, and wonder what it is!
And he's offered free BD's to folks on this board several times. I can only think of one member right off hand (Bulldogtrekker) who took him up on the offer.
I hope Randy recovers soon. We miss him!

Well, unfortunately poor Randy did not recover.
He suffered several strokes and finally passed away — after which his son (Sean Everett) went postal for no apparent reason and destroyed All Sci-Fi, which Randy and I had created.
After pleading with the folks at Servage.net for two weeks — the web server Randy rented for All Sci-Fi and several other sites he supported — I managed to talk them into giving me the board's database.
I explained that their customer, Randy Everett, had passed away (I even provided the link to his obituary), and that his son was using his father's log-in data to wreck the sites his father had faithfully supported for several years.
Eventually I was successful, and despite the odd and hostile behavior of Sean Everett, the spirit of his father, Randy, lives on here at All Sci-Fi.
Thankfully, I have over a dozen DVD-Rs which that generous man sent me from time to time, just to surprise me with gifts which appeared unexpectedly in my mailbox!
As for Starhyke, Here's how Wikipedia describes this unusual short-lived series.

Scenario
The show begins in the year 3034, when humans have become emotionless drones bent on expansion by destroying any alien species they encounter.
A ship commanded by Captain Belinda Blowhard (Christian) called the Nemesis sets out to destroy an alien race called the Reptids, who plan to unleash a biological weapon that would reawaken all human emotion.
The Reptids' aim is to unleash the emotion of compassion, hoping that the emotion would stop humanity from its destructive endeavors.
The weapon is released on the crew of the Nemesis as the evading Reptid ship time travels back into the early 21st century. The Nemesis, the only ship with time-traveling capabilities, pursues the Reptids to the past — only to be overwhelmed by their own emotions.
Now lost in the 21st century, they aim to tackle their emotions while trying to discover a cure and prevent the Reptids from succeeding. _________________ ____________
