______
The story opens with a scientist lecturing high school students about the pursuit of scientific knowledge and the dangers this search sometimes entails. To illustrate his point he tells about an experience he had when he was younger.
In a flashback we see a group of students discovering the comatose body of a furry "missing link" in an Indian burial ground. The creature awakens and terrorizes the students.
Actually the flashback part of the story is an extremely obscure film from the early 1960s. Universal tacked on the prologue about the lecturing scientist and gave the film a limited release. Don Fields directed the added-on scenes. Released by Universal Entertainment. _________________ ____________

If you feel the to urge watch this movie, YouTube has it (for now). Download it from YouTube while you can. These things tend to be gone before you know it!
As for the monster below, this piece of crap almost makes 'Pizza the Hut" from Space Balls look like a serious effort!
