I'm not sure what the practical applications might be for the photographic technique this guy has developed, but I definitely admire his dedication.
I wonder if he's done a picture of Alexander Fleming yet.

The whole idea here is that bacteria reacts differently to various wavelengths of light. So, the young scientist spreads bacteria over his glass plate, and then he places a high-contrast transparency of a person on top of it so that some parts are shielded from light and other parts are not.
Then he shines ultraviolet light on the glass plate which prevents the bacteria in the "dark areas" not to reproduce, while the none shielded areas do!
The result is a version of the original transparency caused by the varying growth rates of the bacteria in different areas on the glass plate!
(Gee, when you put it that way, it isn't quite as impressive.  _________________ ____________
