No kiddin', a death ray. A solar death ray.
This young guy has definitely done an impressive piece of engineering by creating a precision concave mirror that demonstrates just how much damage an evil genius could do if he put a big honkin' version of this thing into orbit and then demanded a zillion dollars from each country that would prefer not to be flame broiled from space.
And if that sounds impossible for a plain old concave mirror to do, Eric Jackman's backyard variety can heat things up to 6,000?? F.
So, pay up, world leaders -- or your country is toast!
