Ever wonder what each planet would look like in the sky if they were as close as the Moon?
Of course you have. Well . . . behold!
Here's another version of the same idea, but showing the planets in the night sky (and with some very spacy music. )

Okay, so that's the SCIENCE. Now let's add the FICTION!

What this wonderful video puts me in mind of is the way Rocky Jones, Space Ranger travels around the solar system. All the planets are just a few hours away (or a few days at most), and they're all populated by interesting, remarkably humanoid beings.
This is what I wanted from space traveling sci-fi series and movies when I was kid. And frankly, I'm still a kid.
I was really hoping Marc Zicree was going to give us a straight-faced, intelligent, and imaginative version of Rocky Jones with his Space Command project, but I'm not as hopeful as I once was.

Just what are the sizes of the planets (COUNTING Pluto as a planet) with the sun?
The distances are so much larger that it is almost impossible to show! _________________ Common Sense ISN'T Common |
