I agree, Pye-rate. The author of the article states it this way.

Don't attempt to challange an arguement with an acedemician today; it's a fruitless effort. This is also true in the social sciences as well. Try argueing chronology with an archeologist or geologist. |

But the fact remains, science works. If it didn't, we wouldn't be communicating instantaneously over huge distances at this very moment.
No one should expect science to give us "the path to a profound and indisputable grasp on truth." That's like planting acorns and expecting an apple tree to grow. |
