That is a fascinating article! I love the fact that the famous redhead was stickin' up for the show we all love.
And I think the amazing photo below — displayed here publicly for the first time anywhere — might give us a clue as to why Miss Ball was so devoted to Star Trek!
Given this startling new revelation, her decision to defend the series is . . . quite logical.

I Love Lucy because she gave the green light for her Desilu Productions to do both Star Trek & Mission:Impossible.
Pretty amazing since she was not particularly a fan of the sf or espionage genres. |

It only seemed like she wasn't a sci-fi fan because of her Vulcan stoicism, her carefully controlled behavior, and her apparent lack of emotions!  _________________ ____________
