Well, I just finished watching THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW- LET'S DO THE TIME WARP AGAIN on Fox tonight. Primarily, my thought is: Why did they bother? It's the same script and same songs, but with all of the personality removed. I don't think the director really "got it". Fox would surely have had a much larger audience if they had just run the original film.
All of the cast members were new, except Tim Curry returned as the narrator/criminologist (formerly, he was Frank N Furter). I don't know what his health status is, but he had what can only be described as a blank look throughout the movie. |

It started off bad, and went rapidly downhill from there.
Tim Curry had a stroke a few of years back, and this is the first live action roll since. His other work has all been voice over rolls.

I saw it too. It wasn't terrible, but I couldn't help thinking that this show probably cost more than the original movie.
And, yeah, Curry did look kinda vacant. Honestly, that ruined the fun for me. I know they threw him in there as a nice homage to the original, but I just ended up feeling sorry for him. |
