There is a new remake of Forbidden Planet in the works!

I was steered to this when I was searching Google images for Id Monster Concept images. The two creators, Brady Goldsmith and Krist Miha, have lurked on many boards and are aware of the problems we and others have discussed. From this they have written their own version for a 3D animated version which they hope to complete and have in theaters (cinemas for Europeans) by the summer of 2020.

Here are some pictures from their website that I downloaded. They were very large so I am still posting them. Like BUD's magazine articles, just click on them to get the full size pictures (I don't know how to post smaller versions to click on as BUD does).

I hope this works out better than numerous previous remake attempts!

Butch didn't always get his facts straight, so I'm taking his statements above with a grain of salt. But the gallery of pictures he provided has some very interesting images.

Looks to be fan art from a fan script.

We don't need a remake of Forbidden Planet.

We need a movie which is just qas good . . . but with a new idea.

But there doesn't seem to be anybody around who can do that. However, I think my novel, Sail the Sea of Stars, would do nicely.
