Quote:
Bill & Ted Face the Music will see the duo long past their days as time-traveling teenagers and now weighed down by middle age and the responsibilities of family. They’ve written thousands of tunes, but they have yet to write a good one, much less the greatest song ever written. With the fabric of time and space tearing around them, a visitor from the future warns our heroes that only their song can save life as we know it. Out of luck and fresh out of inspiration, Bill and Ted set out on a time travel adventure to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe as we know it. Together with the aid of their daughters, a new crop of historical figures, and some sympathetic music legends, they find much, much more than just a song.

Sounds promising...

I hope this continuation of the Bill & Ted saga doesn't throw out all the great concepts that we're presented in the "Bogus Journey".

Like, Bill & Ted each have sons who would be 27 now, but that's okay, because it doesn't conflict with the idea that they now also have two teenage daughters.

The idea that their marriages are in trouble isn't a stretch, but I'd rather see them work it out in the new movie instead of getting divorced like practically everyone else on the planet. Sad

The end credits for "Bogus Journey" treat us to newspaper headlines and magazine covers about the phenomenal success of Wild Stallion and the remarkable things they do to make the world a better place, like —

"Air Guitar Found to Eliminate Smog"

"Bill & Ted Tour Middle East: Peace Achieved".

If they're presented as less than amazing in the new movie it will seem to be throwing out established facts about Wild Stallion.

IMDB lists William Sadler in the cast, but it doesn't say who he plays, so he might not appear as Death again.

______ God Gave Rock & Roll to You (closing credits)

This is Hollywood, they are incapable of having a normal, happily married couple unless one spouse is killed off in the first few minutes, sending the other on a blood-fueled revenge killing spree!

William Sadler to Return as Grim Reaper

https://www.thewrap.com/william-sadler-to-return-as-grim-reaper-in-bill-ted-face-the-music/

The long-awaited third film in the Bill & Ted series is taking shape, as William Sadler, the actor who played the Grim Reaper in Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, is reprising his role in the sequel.

The official Twitter feed for the film announced the news in a tweet Monday following many fan questions, confirming thathttp://www.allsci-fi.com/posting.php?mode=editpost&p=26507 Sadler’s version of Death will appear in Bill & Ted Face the Music.

Sadler joins Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter in the reunion film that follows the events of Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, in which the now middle-aged Bill and Ted set out on a new adventure to fulfill their destiny as the band Wyld Stallions to bring harmony to the universe through the power of their music. Along the way, they will be helped by their families, old friends and a few music legends.

In Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, Bill and Ted were confronted by the Grim Reaper after they wound up dead and are forced to challenge him to games like Battleship, Clue and Twister (all of which were also movies)in order to win their journey back from the afterlife.

Bill & Ted Face the Music will begin production this summer, and the film will be released by Orion Pictures on Aug. 21, 2020 through the United Artists Releasing banner.

Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest, Red 2, Fun With Dick and Jane) is directing the time-traveling buddy comedy based on a screenplay by Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon, who are returning to the franchise.

Scott Kroopf is producing alongside Alex Lebovici and Steve Ponce on behalf of Hammerstone Studios. Steven Soderbergh will be executive producing along with R. Scott Reid, John Ryan Jr., Scott Fischer and John Santilli. Production legal will be handled by Rosen Stapleton Law Group.

Sadler is known for roles in The Shawshank Redemption, Die Hard 2 and Iron Man 3. He most recently provided voice work on the animated series Our Cartoon President and appeared in an episode of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. He’ll also be seen in the horror remake Grudge.

First Look: Keanu Reeves & Alex Winter Finally Return

https://theplaylist.net/bill-ted-face-the-music-images-20191217/

After 39 years, the iconic characters of Bill and Ted are back. But not only are they much older, but they’ve got kids. And those kids are going to help them find “harmony” in the universe. Yep, Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter are returning for what we can only hope is another excellent adventure in Bill and Ted Face The Music.

Orion Pictures, a division of M-G-M, released the first images of the Dean Parisot-directed feature today giving us not only a modern look at Bill and Ted, but their daughters played by Samara Weaving (Ready or Not) and Brigette Lundy-Paine (Netflix’s Atypical, Bombshell). Bill and Ted’s old buddy Death, played by Willam Sadler, returns, and joining the ride is Scott Mescudi, aka Kid Cudi.

According to Orion’s official synopsis, “The stakes are higher than ever for the time-traveling exploits of William ‘Bill’ S. Preston Esq. and Theodore ‘Ted’ Logan. Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it. Along the way, they will be helped by their daughters, a new batch of historical figures, and a few music legends — to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe.

The long-rumored project — Reeves and Winters have been asked about for literally decades — was conceived by Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon who wrote the first two films and have been mainstays on projects with multiple screenwriters ever since (Men in Black, Now You See Me, etc.). The excellent news is talent such as Steven Soderbergh is an executive producer and talent such as Kristen Schaal, Anthony Carrigan, Erinn Hayes, Jayma Mays, Jillian Bell, Holland Taylor, and Beck Bennett round out the time-traveling cast. The not-so-good news is that August 21 release date, which isn’t a slot you traditionally slot a flick you have a lot of confidence in, but hey, stranger things have happened.

Here are some of the new first-look images, including Weaving, Mescudi, and Lundy-Paine, as well as a tease of Sadler getting back into it as the Grim Reaper with Reeves and Winter.

“Bill & Ted Face The Music” hits theaters on August 21.

The trailer looks great! The movie might be terrific! Cool

Alex Winder is still looking good! Very Happy

However, Keenau Reeves with the same long hair looks silly. It should be shorter. It strongly suggests arrested development . . . Rolling Eyes

Hell, even Bambi grew up and became an awesome buck deer! Shocked

However, the steroid inflated, hard-rock, convict versions of Bill and Ted are certainly eye openers! Shocked
