About Today's Featured Threads

There seems to be no common element between today’s three threads, but I’m sure that means we each have our own favorites among them.

Elementary, Dear Data is a combination of whimsical humor and serious questions about artificial intelligence. I posted a comment in this thread about how this episode might be suggesting the Enterprise’s computer “upgraded” itself to true sentience!

Loud as a Whisper is the one about the four-person team of professional mediators who communicate with each other telepathically. The team works wonderfully . . . until three of them are zapped by energy weapon, and the one that’s left is completely deaf!

A Matter of Honor could have been called “Will Ryker Has More Balls Than a Pool Table!”, but that probably wouldn’t have been approved by the network. But it’s fun watching ballsy Will go toe-to-toe with a Klingon crew when he’s temporarily assigned to serve their first officer.
