My future posts will be more than a bit erratic.

My mom has been getting fat very quickly and now we know why. She has been diagnosed with a 40 pound tumor connecting her cervix and left ovaries.

The doctors have not scheduled an operation, yet and I'm terrified she is going to die. (The hospital is full of Covid-19 patients!)

Eadie, I'm so sorry that your mother is in poor health! I pray she'll get the treatment she needs, and that it will be be completely successful.

Please keep us posted. You know how much we respect you, and how grateful we are for your many wonderful contributions to All Sci-Fi.

This unhappy situation with your mother's health is certainly more worthy of your attention than anything going on here with us wacky nerds! Very Happy

Sorry to hear the news about your mom Eadie. Hopefully, the hospital will be able to remove the tumor quickly once the pandemic subsides and she’ll be feeling much better very soon thereafter. In the meantime, know that all your friends here at All Sci-Fi are thinking about you and wishing only good things for you and your family.

Thank You profusely everyone!

1st Butch with severe pneumonia (he's highly allergic to the vaccines because they are incubated in egg yolk which gives him hives AND he had TB as a kid Which makes him a prime candidate for Covid-19);

2nd Mommysan;

3rd, now Pye-Rate is being treated for possible Covid-19 because the VA dentist office where he had his back molars removed last week was contaminated by a previous patient.

Outside of the All Sci-Fi gang I feel alone and nearly abandoned.

Hard for a young girl just short of 20-years-old (August 17th) Who now has NO social life.

If Butch and your mother are in the hospital, and your father has Coronavirus . . . who's taking care of you! Shocked

This really has me worried. When you said felt "alone and abandoned", is that literally true? My God, I hope not!.

I'm mostly by myself but I am being monitored by the wife of a Arlington Police Department sergeant, with twice weekly visits from Pye-Rate (my real father).

Eadie, this is very disturbing, and your many friends here on All Sci-Fi want hear updates from you as frequently as you can.

What does "monitored" really mean? Does the wife of the policeman bring you food and make sure you have everything you need? Can she find you a nice family you can stay with?

We can't do much to help you, Miss Eadie, but we sure as heck can remind you frequently that we're concerned, and we're desperately hoping for good news soon!

She's a retired nurse who checks my health, homework (not that there is much of that [I graduated almost 2 years ago and only have some college courses], makes sure I have food and helps manage my money that Butch, Aunt Margaret [Bitterpearls] and Butch's giirl friend from Canada, Barb Dryer (who is a millionaire or something — all I know is that she inherited a large amount from her dad. He was the chief of Engineers for BC Tel and from his older brother who was Supreme Justice of BC's court system. She sends me money monthly.)

Anyways I'm well looked after. I have no worries except for those concerning Mommysan, Pye-Rate, and Butch.

IF you and the gang at ALL SCI-FI are crazy then so am I.

What's crazy is the mundanes (according to Pye-Rate that's what most people who are not sci-fi, fantasy & horror fans are called) as they act as if being in a store is strange and their wants are more important than everybody's survival!

[I just got home from shopping. I was astonished that almost no one wore masks or did "social distancing"!]

The news media is talking about how the virus is on the rise again because of the rush to reopen the economy. I'm glad you're smart enough to protect yourself. CNN's map of the US, which color codes each state according to their rate of rising infections shows Washing state as on the best as far as new cases go! Very Happy

Fortunately, here in the CA Bay Area, at least in my area of it, I have yet to NOT see a mask when I go out shopping. I wear a mask and nitrile gloves myself. I’ve noticed a lot of people have stopped wearing gloves.
Incredibly, I see some people wearing masks with them pulled down UNDER their noses !? Really? You cover your mouth but NOT your nose??
They must be HALF mundanes.
The thing that really gets me though is parents at Target wearing masks yet their children are running around without masks! I mean... WTF???
