Yesterday I invited everyone to discuss the science fiction television series which they enjoyed in the 1950s, or many years later in reruns and recordings.
Today is dedicated to those fond memories we have for those midnight movies in days long past — The Late Show.
My memories are derived from the hours I spent in the early 1960s watching The Big Movie Shocker on WAGA in Atlanta. The host of that show was Bestoink Dooley, who was inducted into the Horror Host Hall of Fame in 2013.
__________
For the next few days, the Feature Threads will focus on some of the movies which were aired on The Big Movie Shocker. Many of them were from the 1930s and 1940s, but a few were from the 1950s as well.
Hopefully the older members of All Sci-Fi will share their fond memories of those late night experiences in front old B&W televisions in dark rooms, while the rest of the family was sound asleep.
If you’re interested in sharing your Late Show Memories about a fourth movie —
