It will come as no surprise to the members of All Sci-Fi that I’m partial to science fiction movies which include comedic elements. A good story is like a gourmet dinner, it involves all the diner’s taste buds by including a rich variety of flavors — mellow, spicy, salty, and sweet.
That’s what makes The Thing from Another World so successful.
Many of the movies from the 1980s and 1990s presented us with stories that followed this culinary rule.
