While a zombie virus breaks out in South Korea, passengers struggle to survive on the train from Seoul to Busan. IMDb

This is a major twist to the typical zombie movie. Rather than zombies who are usually portrayed as lumbering and slow moving, the zombies in this film are very predatory in nature.

Fast moving and highly aggressive, the zombies encountered in Train to Busan will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Well acted and subtitled, Train to Busan is indeed a zombie movie like no other.

Wade, by some strange coincidence I just added a reply to your Night of the Living Dead post, in which I confessed that I'd never seen it! Shocked

However, based on your glowing comments, I strongly considered finally watching that popular film. Very Happy

However, before doing so I read the Wikipedia article for the plot, and I decided that the enduring horror classic was not something I would fully appreciate.

Minutes later I discovered your post above . . . which I had somehow missed after you added it to ASF on Aug 30, 2024! Shocked

Oops! Embarassed

After reading your recommendations for the movie above, I then read its plot summary on Wikipedia, too. Sadly, I realized that this move was also one that didn't seem right for my preference for stories which were not so dark.

But I thank you for contributing your fine post to All Sci-Fi.

Bud . . . yeah, I don't think Train to Busan would be your cup of tea. This is far and above your typical zombie movie, and it is quite gory in places. It is one of the few gory movies I do like, but it may be a little too extreme for your liking or enjoyment.

I actually meant to post this in a different forum, "Movies of Other Genres" I think it is, as this is a pure horror affair, nothing really Sci-Fi about it.

For those that like "jump scares" and a scary roller coaster ride, this movie fits the bill.

For those who do not like or enjoy these types of films, give it a hard pass.

Not a problem. It was easily correct. Very Happy
