Three more contributions from All Sci-Fi's resident curator of Hollywood History and Sci-Fi Trvia, the tireless and knowledgable Pow! Rumor has it that he receives assistance from a computer database of impressive size!
As I mentioned yesterday, thinking of something to reply to Pow's posts is as easy as ordering Mr. Sulu to fire a photon torpedo right at Uranus!

TNG episode #26: The Neutral Zone
Opening Statement: This episode was going to be a multi~part story which would have united the Federation of Planets with the Romulan Hegemony against the Borg invasion.
The Writers Guild strike at that time threw off that plan.
TNG episode #31: Loud as a Whisper
Opening Statement: Riva was originally forced to use sign language when he mediated a conflict in the Plaeties system. The aliens there were extremely paranoid and Riva was not permitted to bring his Chorus along with him.
Members of Riva's family do not read or write.
Both of these plot points were not in the final cut of this episode.
TNG Episode #34: A Matter of Honor
Opening Statement: Another absurd aspect of rising in the ranks of a military organization is the total instability to the military structure as a whole.
Such assassinations would have to create a low moral among the soldiers and the officers, not to mention a paranoia and shadow of fear over every single action they do. _________________ ____________
