Kung Fu (1972)

Opening Statement: I was a huge "Kung Fu" fan when it was first aired. And I still am a fan today.

I do agree with you, Bud, that the use of slow-motion, clever camera work and editing for the fight scenes now seem dated and rather silly looking.

Obviously it was done to cover for the fact that David Carradine possessed no martial arts skills.

Robot Jox (1990)

Opening Statement: I agree that films showing all of humankind banding together to defeat a common foe can have thrilling moments, Bud.

However, after seeing how many Americans have chosen not to sanely respond to the pandemic, I find myself in serious doubt as to whether our planet would really unite against any alien invasion force.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008)

Opening Statement: Well, bless my soul . . . Spike's enthusiastic review made me realize that part of the problem which Indiana Jones fans like me have with the sequels — from Temple of Doom all the way to Crystal Skull — stems from the fact that the brilliant original movie, Raiders of the Lost Ark, was made in 1981, when both the producers (Lucas and Speilberg) and the mature audience members like me were only about 20 years removed from our 1950s boyhood days, when we adored the old serials which inspired Raiders!
