A very unappreciated movie which combines aliens and boxing, a lousy movie that combines aliens and a juvenile delinquent, a terrific movie that takes cloning to a level which no other film every has.

And I love the aircraft in that last one! Cool

These three movies are great examples of how the quality of science fiction movies varies greatly! ________________________________________________

The 6th Day (2000)

Opening Statement: IMDB has several interesting trivia items for this production.

~ According to Arnold Schwarzenegger in the DVD featurette "The Future is Coming", this movie was set in 2015.

Note from me: Another example of a sci-fi movie that sets its "future" too close to the present.

Laserblast (1978)

Opening Statement: IMDB has several interesting trivia items for this production.

~ According to the producer Charles Band, the movie was filmed over three weekends for basically no money.

Note from me: I'm shocked! As far I'm concerned every dollar spent on the making of this movie is proudly displayed on the screen! Both of them . . .

Arena (1989)

Opening Statement: I've posted this poor video just to demonstrate that this enjoyable movie is still a "lost classic" with no decent versions available anywhere . . . dammit!

My DVD-R, made from a VHS tape, is somewhat better . . . but not great. And I read somewhere that the original widescreen negative has been lost somehow!
