Here's three movies I've never watched, but probably ought to. That's why we never had threads for them until I pasted copies of the reviews which Andrew Bogdan (Bogmeister) wrote for his own board, The Galactic Base of Science Fiction.
I'm sure I'm not the only All Sci-Fi member who'd like to know more about these movies — especially the one below.

Maximum Overdrive (1986)
Opening Statement: MDB has several interesting trivia items for this production.
~ When asked why he hasn't directed a movie since "Maximum Overdrive", Stephen King responded "Just watch Maximum Overdrive."
Note from me: Okay, I'm not tempted to watch this movie.
Phantoms (1998)
Opening Statement: IMDB has one very interesting trivia item for this production.
~ The "flatworm theory" used in the movie (that flatworms can eat the remains of their own kind and absorb their knowledge) is based on actual tests given to flatworms which involved seeing how quickly they would make the "correct" turn at a Y-intersection after eating the previous experimenters. The results were more inconclusive than the film says.
Note from me: I hope this is true, because it's fascinating!
Fire in the Sky (1993)
Opening Statement: IMDB has one very interesting trivia items for this production.
~ The abduction portrayed in the movie actually had nothing to do with Walton's account.
After being struck by the light, Walton remembers waking up on a table surrounded by three aliens, whom he described thusly: "Their bald heads were disproportionately large for their puny bodies. They had bulging, oversized craniums, a small jaw structure, and an underdeveloped appearance to their features that was almost infantile. Their thin-lipped mouths were narrow; I never saw them open.
Note from me: The man's story, as described above, is actually impressive — not like the totally wacky yarns we often get from backwoods rednecks who describe the colorful uniforms of their abductors and the sight-seeing trips around the solar system they were taken on! _________________ ____________
