Today's sci-fi movies start out with a comedy with Bruce Wayne cloning himself (sort of).
Then Katherine Ross is replaced by Katherine Ross 2.0.
And finally there's Harrison Ford — who might NOT be Harrison Ford, even though he THINKS he's Harrison Ford.
I'm Bud Brewster, and I approve of this message. (But am I really Bud Brewster? )

Multiplicity (1996) - Clone Comedy
Opening Statement: IMDB has several interesting trivia items for this production.
~ In filming the shot in which Doug #1 introduces Doug #3 to Doug #2, Doug #2 tosses a beer to Doug #1.
Michael Keaton catching the beer (tossed by a body double) was shot first. Keaton tossing the beer (this time *to* a body double) was filmed later.
Keaton's toss so perfectly matched the body double's original toss that the planned special effect of digitally erasing the tossed beer can then adding in a digital beer can was not needed, thereby saving the production quite a bit of money. This was referred to by the special effects crew as "The Million Dollar Miracle Beer Can Toss".
Note from me: I admire this special effects crew for doing this so well in the days before CGI.
~ According to director Harold Ramis, he wrote much of the script uncredited. A Writers Guild rule prevents directors from getting a writing credit on their film unless they contribute more than fifty percent. Ramis contributed forty percent of the screenplay.
Note from me: I'm sure Ramis was just tad bit tempted to revise a little more of the script so he pushed that percentage of fifty. The fact that he didn't indicates that he's a nice guy.
~ The construction project Doug is working on is called "Vista de Nada," which is Spanish for "View of Nothing".
Note from me: This little gag tickled my funny bone!
The Stepford Wives (1975)
Opening Statement: IMDB has several interesting trivia items for this production.
~ Author Ira Levin was originally going to write this as a stage play, until he realized there were too many characters and opted to turn it into a novel instead, which the film was based on.
Note from me: I'd love to read that novel!
Blade Runner (1982)
Opening Statement: IMDB has 290 trivia items for this production! I picked the ones below from the first 40. I'll add more in a week or so. Hopefully you guys will have plenty to say about the movie, inspired by all the info below.
~ Director Ridley Scott and director of photography Jordan Cronenweth achieved the famous "shining eyes" effect by using a technique invented by Fritz Lang known as the "Schüfftan Process": light is bounced into the actors' and actresses' eyes off of a piece of half mirrored glass mounted at a forty-five-degree angle to the camera.
Note from me: I'm not sure what "shining eyes" in the item above is referring to. Can anybody help me out? _________________ ____________
