What are the plots of today's Featured Thread movies?

One is about an alien who arrives on Earth in a glowing orb and somehow causes a human to become a giant! Sounds intriguing, right? Very Happy

Unfortunately it sounds better on paper . . . Sad

The second one is about a starship filled with hibernating colonist along with two who wake and fall in love.

Sounds dull and corny, right? It isn't, it's great. Cool

The third one is the second sequel to unique movie with a novel premise which rocked the world of science fiction. The original was a tough act to follow, and the producers tried to follow it twice — with mixed results.

Tell us what you think of these movies. It's easy to find something good to say about bad movies, and it's also easy to find something to criticize about good ones. Very Happy

Attack of the 50 Foot Woman (1958)

Opening Statement: ~ The giant bald space alien is played by Michael Ross. He can also be spotted playing the bartender.

Note from me:So, this movie might actually be called, Attack of the 50 Foot Bartender!

Passengers (2016)

Opening Statement: ~ According to a news article by The Hollywood Reporter, both leads will be pulling down double digit millions: Chris Pratt will be paid $12 Million while Jennifer Lawrence is looking at $20 Million against 30% of the profits.

Note from me: God lord, Miss Lawrence got 8 million bucks more than Mr. Pratt!

The Matrix Reloaded (2003)

Opening Statement: ~ GM donated 300 cars for use in the production of the movie. All 300 were wrecked by the end.

Note from me: Amazing. One movie wrecked more cars than all the beautiful Dodge Chargers in The Dukes of Hazzard series!
