Yep, the little probe Philae staked a claim on comet 67P in a nice shady spot! Very Happy

That, actually, was the bad news. It doesn't get enough sunlight in the place where it came to rest to recharge its batteries. Bummer. Sad

But the scientists involved in the project are still happy, because Philea accomplished 80% of it's designated tasks. And it still might manage to acquire enough energy to send more data.

Click here to watch a nice CGI video of the landing and a good look at 67P -- which is not surrounded by gas and dust, the way comets much closer to the sun are.

Frankly, I think she's a beauty. Nice figure. Check out that slender waist, guys. Yum . . . Wink

If another Philae lander went to the Moon and had lunch, would it be a "Philae Cheese Steak"?
