I accidentally stumbled upon this movie just this week.

It was one of the most exciting and riveting films I've seen.

In present-day Russia, the Minister of Defense concocts a plan to bring his country into war with the United States, and overthrow the Premier of Russia.

Submarines, Navy SEAL team, political intrigue, personality clashes . . . this movie has it all and keeps you in suspense with its relentless tension and action scenes.

Farfetched fun.

Your recommendation has convinced me to put this movie on my Netflix list. I'm sure I'll love it . . . despite the fact that Wikipedia says the critics slammed it and the box office was very weak.

However, if a picture is worth a thousand words, then a trailer is worth a jillion. And the trailer below might be worth 1.5 jillion . . .

Take note of the way the sub crewmen all quickly shout a word that sounds like "Hoo-ya!" when the captain gives an order.,

This sounds remarkably like what the Spartans soldiers did in 300 whenever their macho warrior king made a bold statement.

Gee, I wonder if it's coincidence that Gerard Butler played both the sub captain and the warrior king.
