Let's talk about the Star Trek film that saved the franchise after ST: The Motion Picture shot the audiences with a phaser on stun. Sad

Then we can chat about the movie in which Obi Wan Kenobi hooks up with Natasha Romanoff. Remember that one? Very Happy

And finally there's the movie about the alien invaders who kidnapped dozens of people, kept them for decades, then brought them back . . . without ever revealing why.

Wow. Fascinating story. Rolling Eyes

But the John Williams music and the Douglas Trumbull special effects certainly made the film enjoyable. Mr. Green

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982)

Even though I poked fun at Wrath of Kahn in a very long and picture-fill post on the old board, I do enjoy the movie very much. Here's a few of the pictures I made for that post.

The Island (2005)

Spike, I just received the following email from Netflix:

Dear valued customer,

We recommend that your Netfilx queue contain at least six movies so that we can facilitate, without delay, the delivery of the DVDs you wish to enjoy.

Recently your queue has contained fewer than six titles, and sometimes it has been completely empty for as long as a week at a time.

However, in the past week we noticed you've added movies on a regular basis, and we think it's because The Spike recommended movies you'd forgotten about or were unaware of.

Please thank him on our behalf. Frankly, we were concerned. We thought maybe you'd died or something.

Sincerely,

Netflix general manager in charge of possibly deceased customers.

Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1978)

And yes, I believe that ET is a horrible movie too..

Well, to be honest, I cry big fat manly tears at the end of E.T. Crying or Very sad

But I've never been able to figure out how E.T. ran so fast through the undergrowth when he was trying to get to the ship before it took off. The first time I saw the film, I kept expecting his legs to stretch out the way his neck did in one scene. Very Happy

Seems reasonable.
